Last week on Linkedin, I posted an article I wrote about the topic of why so many leaders of data science teams are leaving their job for greener pastures. This post got 40,000 views by the end of the week with 1,700 likes, over 150 comments, and over 400 shares. It really got a lot of attention. I was expecting far more people to object my comments on PhD’s but the actual negative comments was fairly low compared to the overall. Most saw this post as an honest and authentic view on the world of data science today. That is what I was trying to express, not trying to pick on any group or say someone is wrong, but that the system needs to change.
I’m working on a book about the future of data and analytics but until then, check out my article and maybe join in the discussion.
